OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

WON’T IGNITE

When an electric stove will not turn on, first check if the appliance power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the appliance is plugged in or if the pilot light is on, it means some other part will have to be replaced. The reason for the problem could be an infinite switch, surface element, igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN DOES NOT HEAT

A burner or stove that does not produce heat doesn’t do much. Your oven won’t heat when there is a broken bake element or oven sensor. Your burner does not turn on if an element breaks or if the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We know how to fix these common problems in under 1-2 hours after our arrival.

PROGRAM ISSUES

It is reasonable to assume the control board on a stove is broken if the timer or program functions aren’t working. If that’s the case, we are able to replace control boards for LG, Sears, GE, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands and models of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on all of the control panels and the replacement parts we install for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You should have a hot oven. But not too hot! When the heat is out of control, it could be because of a broken thermostat or sensor. Our repairmen know how to find the reason for the issue and repair it. Always be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of body burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove issue is times where an igniter glows but does not light. The cause is sometimes from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We determine if we are able to repair these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the parts.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning ovens are known to have door issues. The door won’t open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We monitor the door closure, thermostat and seal to identify why the door doesn’t open and then we complete the repair in order to resolve the problem.
